I specialize in traditional and digital event entertainment while dedicating the remaining week to cartoon character development, animation, cartoon maps, private studio caricature commissions and commercial art for web, books, magazines, mobile apps, branding and advertising.

I have entertained for some of California's largest media groups, including Disney, NBC and Universal Pictures. Recent clients include GE, Hilton Hotels, the San Diego Padres, Southwest Airlines, Sketchers and Symantec.

I am a featured vendor with the Event Planners Association of Southern California, as well as San Diego Style Weddings. I am a member of the International Society of Caricature Artists (ISCA).

Dave was one of the many amazing additions at the Yelp Midsummer Nights event. So many Yelpers were lined up for one of his caricatures, and of course, I had to be one of them! Being that I have never had one done in the past, this was my chance. After waiting for over an hour, Michael B. And I finally got our chance.
The whole time he was drawing he filled us with laughter, the passion and love he had for his life and even shared some fun facts with the both of us. It was so much fun that we completely forgot about the dreadful wait.

What a guy! Just met Dave an hour ago at a bridal show and he was great. It's been nearly 5 years exactly to this day that my fiancé and I have had a caricature together... so it was awesome to have him offer a free drawing.

Spoke with Dave and his wife regarding pricing for having him at our wedding... very reasonable pricing for such a unique talent that I know our guests will love!

According to him and his wife, he can do about 80 to 100 people/drawings in 6 hours which is insane!

We hired Dave for our daughter's college graduation party - and he was a hit! Everyone gathered around to watch his magic and he worked steadily through all the guests without ever taking a break. Our wedding guests loved having Dave there drawing caricatures!!! The line was so long, he ended up working an hour longer than we originally hired him for without us having to ask him. Of course, we paid him for the extra time afterwards... it was just soooo wonderful that he made sure to take care of our guests on the spot instead of rushing to pack up his things as soon as he was "done". I wish I could give 10 stars!!! Big Dave is both a scholar and a gentleman. He is a very talented caricature creator who gets to know his clients on a personal level. I personally am not a fan of caricatures but Dave struck me with his love of his craft. Not only did he create one heck of a drawing but he did it to better his own craft and not to garner praise.
